Early morning flights put 86 boats on the waters of beautiful Kentucky Lake in Camden, TN. Fishermen and their families converged to Benton County to compete in the Wal-Mart-sponsored FLW Bass Fishing League Tournament held at Birdsong Resort, Marina and Campground on Saturday, March 8, 2014. Anglers blasted off at 7:00 a.m. and returned for a 3:00 p.m. weigh in.

Noel Smith (Ashland City, TN) took first place in the “Boater” division, coming across the scales with an even 20 lbs., Smith took home a prize check of $6,000.00. “Co-Angler” division winner Blake Whittaker (Monterey, TN) snagged a prize check for $3,000.00. Blake came across the scales with 21 lbs.

Big fish winners were: Billy Henson (Mt. Juliet, TN) captured the “boater” division payout of $420.00; and Blake Whittaker (Monterey, TN) took the “co-angler” check for $210.00.
